TSI Semiconductors had been looking to dispose of its operational, but underutilized 200mm fab based in Roseville, CA, not finding the right buyer for the manufacturing asset employing a workforce of approx. 250.
ATREG saw synergies between the Roseville fab capabilities and Bosch’s SiC manufacturing strategy and brought the German company to the table as a potential buyer. Their decision to pursue SiC in Roseville ensures a long-term future for the site and workforce. Attracting one of Europe’s largest manufacturers to U.S. soil who has only ever produced front-end chips in Germany is a massive win for the U.S. semiconductor industry.
